Have you ever received an email saying that you have paid someone money through Paypal, but in fact, you didn't authorize the transaction?

Don't rush to "dispute" the transaction. If you did't authorize the payment, then it never did (unless your real paypal account shows otherwise that your account is hacked!).

It’s the old switch trick.

You list something in an Ebay auction, someone wins the auction, and you send them the items safely packaged.

That’s step one. You did everything right.

There is this email running around with an attachment teaching how to make money using viral marketing techniques selling nothing. It is like one of those "get rich quick", or if they didn't say you are going to be rich, then it is a "earn quick money" using a matrix or pyramid system.

There can be many variations of a pyramid system, and they would only differ in the way the system is being presented.

We received a phishing email which looks exactly like Paypal, except that the link to update the account information is on a phishing site. We have screenshots of the email as well as the phishing site for information.

Found this announcement in one of the forums regarding 2CO fraud checks. As we can see, the task of the "gatekeeper" is not easy, having to screen off good orders from frauds among the thousands of transaction per day. Any errors in the process would cause a lost in profit margin for both the merchant... and subsequently the Payment Processor.

80% of the orders placed through 2CO either fail the initial fraud checks or end up passing and THEN being charged back. We will no longer accept 2CO as a form of payment.

I have wasted too much time and have seen over $6k in "sales" wasted the past 30 days because of their inability to offer a decent service.

I have removed 2CO from our accepted payments list and will NEVER add them again. We are looking into some other gateways like....
