“Anna Marie Ray of Colonie (kah-luh-NEE’) was sentenced Monday to 5 to 10 years behind bars for bilking $209,000 from an 87-year-old man, a friend who cleaned her apartment and her adult son, who is mentally disabled.
Prosecutors say the scams pulled off by the 60-year-old Ray included secretly making the older man president of her roofing company and opening credit cards in his name without his knowledge.
Officials say she used the cards to pay for building materials and expenses at off-track betting operations.”
