Internet Business for Sale

If you are buying a business from online listings, becareful of scams. The listing provider does not screen through all the postings of businesses for sale.

In one particular example, we found a website called "retailhighstreet.com" with selling price of £18,450, and a sales revenue of £200 - 500k... does this make any sense?

Obviously, the sales revenue does not match the asking price for the website. However, the owner would not be able to sell the site any higher, because we are unable to locate the website today. The link is redirected to this website instead: http://www.internetbusinessesforsale.co.uk/

A few things could have happened.

Firstly, the website (to be sold) was not sold off, and the seller eventually redirected it to their main site.

Secondly, the website was not generating that type of sales revenue/cash flow as stated. The details are fake (sorry, we are just stating the facts).

This is just one example for sharing. Other ways of verifying the website's real value is to check its traffic ranking at alexa.com, and also its google pagerank. There are websites being sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars, with only a pagerank of 1, and with alexa's traffic rank above the 100,000 mark.

Back to this particular case study, the following are the listing information for information.

(btw, these information are available openly on the web as is today, nothing is fabricated. Just open your eyes and ask if the whole thing makes any sense at all).

Asking price:
£18,450
Sales revenue:
£200k < 500k
Cash flow:
£250k < 500k
Years established:

Peter, for the sake of all past and new customer new E-BusinessEngineers has nothing to do with PG or IBFS. EBE was purchased by a Boston based company who are developers and marketers trying to build a legitimate business. As I understand they too are victims into what was promised vs what was sold 'no surprises there.'

There are collateral damages yes, but I have been pleased by communication thus far with EBE folks who have helped offered to get my business off the ground despite sunk costs which I may never recover.

I am appreciating your views in Internet Business for Sale, but i am telling you my views in Internet Business for Sale is it has to be a feasible business to work on because if it drains all your time away from anything else, even your family them it probably isn't a good buy. You want to find one that give you a good leverage to profit more in less time.

p.s. only Naomi is listed as a director of the company Internet Businesses for Sale Ltd that was incorporated Feb 2010.

You might get the directors home address from Companies House webcheck at a cost of a couple of pounds. You can usually pay to see copies of forms submitted e.g. Annual Return.

If there isn't anything for IBFS have a look at the records for PGO Sales Ltd as I think they have an annual return on file with PG's home adress!

Well I came close to parting money and buying a website from Paul Giles. Reading all your comments I am very glad I didn't!

The company always intrigued me the way they didn't really try to sell their websites face to face or over email. They were very much take it or leave it and didn't really expand on what they were able to offer as far as SEO was concerned.

That said, I would be very interested if anyone were able to disclose more (privately if preferred) about their training e.g. sales methods, tools etc.

Sorry to hear some of you have lost money. But don't lose faith. These website business can make some money (I bought one from another company recently and theirs is doing very well).

In reply to 38# Mr Murray why when you are getting all the support to go a head with your legal action are you not responding to anyone, seems strange ,are you another scammer ,we all need to get together some how, the more people stand together the law will have to take action to stop them taking the hard earned money from honest hard working people who only want to make an honest living not like them by scamming people & being cowards when it comes to answering phone calls etc.

Is there no end to Paul Giles scams? His lates project seems to be GHI builder (see this extract from some of his promotional material below - though surely it's stretching a point to call himself young :-) ). Still that site now seems to be down to so maybe things are finally catching up with him...

Well It's Just Happened Again!
It's just happened again, with a simple but genius idea which has just generated over $1 million for yet another young guy with the recent launch of 'GHI Builder'. Cleverly tapping into the current climate his targeted home business system allows people to set up an online home business for free, and by the amount of online sales users just can't get enough of it. Sales reportedly rocketed literally overnight and now everyone is talking about GHIBuilder.com on Google, in the forums, it does not matter where you go GHI Builder seems to be on everyone's online-lips at the moment who have any interest in earning a secondary income.

It beggars belief that Paul Giles is still up to his dirty tricks. What annoyed me the most about the whole thing (endless lies, uncompleted websites etc, etc) is that while he was not building my website, he was engaged in a joint venture with his accountants to produce Presentsandgiftideas.com. He was using my money (and other people's) to pay his programmers to produce the website that his clients wanted.

Strangely presentsandgiftideas.com is not currently up. But if you google "presentsandgiftideas.com paul giles" his original press release for the site pops up which also includes his contact details.
