Nigerian Pop Star Promotes Anti-Scam Campaign on Music Video

Good intention, great music, by a Nigerian, against Nigerian 419 scam.

419 scam has become an international "franchise" and is no longer limited to Nigerians. Some of the scam mails we received seemed to originate from UK, Malaysia, China, etc. It is easy to spot a Nigerian scam mail but we are beginning to see more of other "countries".

'Maga No Need Pay' is the latest pop song to make its way around West African radio waves, and the message behind it is clear: just say "no" to cyber-crime. Nigeria, as you're probably well aware, is a hotbed of "419" advanced fee scams, which typically involve scammers disguised as princes, romantic interests, or venture capitalists soliciting money from unaware victims.
