Unlike the common lottery scams we received, this scammer tries to
pretend sending an email from a “non-free” email address. Don’t be too
happy yet, for “microsoftclaim.com” appears to be owned by someone in
South Africa, possibly registered for the purpose of scamming. There
has been too much talks about “using of free email address” in scams.
So the scammers thought that this will make a difference.

In the scam mail, the scammer asked to reply to their email address at
microsoftclaims@microsoftclaim.com

The following is a screen capture of the website.
==========

Microsoft Claim
==========
The website is hosted by this company in South Africa, : http://texo.co.za/
The domain is registered at godaddy.com, but we will not go into the details of the whois.

Next, the phone number IDD +44 shows that the scammer is likely to be in UK as written on the email. We do not have the IP address from the mail header, so we cannot confirm the actual location where the mail was sent.

And the sender of the email uses indiatimes.com…. what!? lol
As you can see above, they have used… South Africa – UK – India?

In any case, this is still a scam.
