Australian held hostage in internet love scam

Still thinking that internet love affair is safe? Read this news:

A 56-year old Gregor flew all the way to West Africa (possibly somewhere in Mali) to meet his lover “Natacha”. Upon arrival, he was robbed and held hostage by the scammers, who demanded money from his family. He was released after the Australian Federal Police stepped in to help.

It has been a nightmare for Gregor, but at least he is safe.
