US House of Representative is issuing laws to combat the criminal use of Internet spyware, identity theft and scams aimed at stealing personal information from computer users.
“Citing estimates that up to 90% of computers in the US are infected
with some form of spyware, lawmakers argued that spyware is one of the
biggest threats to consumers on the Internet.”
We would like to add that equally high percentages of computers around the world are likely to be infected with spyware and viruses. Most people simply do not find the need to buy anti-virus and internet security softwares. So far most of my relatives and friends computers are infected with some.
