Previously, we had a record of a similar scam but the scammer used the Dutch word of “Nederland” instead of “Netherlands”. This is a well-known lottery scam.

No. No, you did not win any lottery. If that is all that you are looking for, you can skip the rest of the attachments. But for those who are interested in what is on the email, you can see the attachment below.

The point to note is that scammers like to use official websites of the real lottery companies. However, the emails that they used (including the one you are supposed to reply to) are not from the original site.

Note the following exceptions:

1) Scammers may fake the originator email address. That is, they can send from an anonymous mail server using ANY email address they want.

2) Scammers may register a domain name for a short period of time, just for the sake of scamming. And some are smart to choose a domain name that is very close to the original one.

Hence, beware.
