Most scam victims are let greediness get into their head, and they miss out simple clues like this. Ok, lets test how smart you are:

1) In this scam mail, the scammer refers to citigroup.com for information, i.e.

2) In the email header, his email address is grant_notice@citigroup.com

3) In the email message, he ask you to contact him at claimsprocessing@citigroupsfoundation.com
instead of the email in para 2.

Answers:
1) This URL is real. They are just trying to convince you that “they are real”.

2) This email address is fake. They can send out from any email address via anonymous server.

3) This email address is real, BUT the URL where the email address is based, DOES NOT belong to the real Citigroup.

The Scammer has added a “S” after the word “group”.
