If you received an email like this, it is a lottery scam. They will ask you to pay a fee to collect your winnings, and they will never pay you back. It does not make sense to pay money to get money.
The scammer registered the domain name called sweepgroup.com, and created an email via that domain for the purpose of scamming. We checked the website and it is currently under construction – a lazy scammer.
Apparently, the scamer appears inexperienced and a simple whois check on the domain owner reveals the identity of the scammer, via its domain registrar, whois.onlinenic.com
We have contacted the police and they should be visiting the scammer soon.
