The latest news report of police warning the local ppl at Wellington (Ontario, Canada) of lottery scams on the internet.
Apparently, the victim (who was a lady), wired her money over to an address in England to pay for “advanced fees”. Well, she did receive her check, but it is a forged check and her money was gone.
So when you thought that such scams never happen, you are wrong. They are happening almost every week or month, despite all the warnings, news broadcast, and more… Some people ( as we have written in our blog) never learn until they are scammed. And some never learn Even after they were scammed once, and that allows the scammers to rip the poor victim dry.
