]]>Scam Type: 419 Scam
Likely Fake Names: Staff Sgt Norman Goldberg
Offer Type: Money Transfer
Transfer Amount: US$18million
Scammer Location: Iraq? Africa?
Scammer Email: sgtnorman1000@yahoo.com,sgtnorman100@rocketmail.com
Storyline: Someone
found a large sum of money in dog kennels at a farm house and guest
houses in an estate near one of Saddam’s Hussein old palaces in Baghdad
(Iraq) during an operation, and his share alone is $18million.
“Sgt Norman Goldberg” is looking for someone to help him transfer out the money from Iraq, in return for a share of the loot. However, in order to participate in this illegal money transfer and become an criminal yourself, you have to pay $550 to him to get some “documents”.
The stupid part about ANY 419 scam, money transfer scheme is that, there would always be some equally stupid people who believe in paying a small fee such as this (USD 550 or more) to secure several hundred thousands or millions of dollars.
If this guy has so much money within his reach, WHY does he NEED you to pay a single cent.
HotScams golden rule: IF ANYONE offers you FREE money for Real, he will ask NOT a single cent from, from whatever crap reason.
In addition, do not trust any checks sent to you, asking you to cash it and pay out using your bank. Bank are known to clear fake checks in 3 days and release the money to your account. And about 10 days later, when the bank found that the check is a fake, they will demand the money back from you. And if you have sent out the money from your bank account back to the scammer, you will have to pay back the bank for the money that was taken out.
Do not fall for this trap, 419 Scam + Fake Check.

Dear Friend,
My name is Staff Sgt. Norman Goldberg; I am an American
soldier, serving in the military with the army’s 3rd
infantry division. With a very desperate need for
assistance, I have summed up courage to contact you.
I found your contact particulars in an address journal. I
am seeking your kind assistance to move the sum of US $18m
(eighteen million United States dollars) to you in your
country as far as I can be assured that my share will be
safe in your care until I complete my service here.
Source of money:
Some money in US dollars were discovered in dog kennels at
a farm house and guest houses in an estate near one of
Saddam’s Hussein old palaces in Baghdad, Iraq during an
operation, and it was agreed by Staff Sgt. Kenneth Buff and
Sgt. Daniel Van Ess of 1st Class and I that some part of
this money will be shared among us before informing anybody
about it. Since both of them saw the money first, they did
informed me, while I played the outsider to protect our
interest. This was quite an illegal thing to do,
but I tell you what? No compensation can make up for the
risk we have taken with our lives in this hell hole, in
which my friends in the army where killed by a road side
bomb last time.
The above figure was given to me as my share, and to
conceal this kind of money became a problem for me, even
after the initial probe of all soldiers of our command which
I was cleared from; so with the help of a British contact
working here and his office enjoy some immunity, I was able
to get the package out to a safe location entirely out of
trouble spot where he help me deposited the money in a trunk
box with a security company in abroad. The security company
does not know that the real contents of the
package is money, and the man a British/American medical
doctor who died in a raid here in Iraq, and lost all the
documents of the deposit which I have the security codes and
deposit codes.
I will like you to help me contact the security company to
be able to claim the money with the security codes which I
have as the British/American doctor deposited the
consignment in his name and mine as the beneficiary.
I want you to tell me how much you will take from this
money for the assistance you will give to me. One passionate
appeal I will make to you is not to discuss this matter with
anybody, should you have reasons to reject this offer,
please and please destroy this message as any leakage of
this information will be too bad for us soldiers here in
Iraq and tarnish the reputation of other services men. I do
not know how long we will remain here, and I have been shot,
wounded and survived two suicide bomb attacks
by the special grace of God, this and other reasons I will
mention later has prompted me to reach out for help, I
honestly want this matter to be resolved immediately, Please
reply me as email is my only source of communication.
God bless you and your family.
