The news from nwi.com briefly reported a case where a lady in South Haven managed to evade a scam by not cashing the fake check and sending her personal information over to the scammers.

In another unfortunate case, a Northwest Indiana woman lost her house after sending $40,000 to the scammers, in what we think is a $1 million lottery scam.

Phil Wieland was absolutely right when he wrote,
“Enough people apparently are interested in their potential good fortune
to respond with the requested payment to keep literally thousands of
these scam outfits in business.”

It doesn’t matter that most of us know a scam when we see one. What matters are those who are uninformed, naive and greedy enough to believe in the scams.
