We posted a scam earlier, where scammers pretend to be someone’s grandchildren and try to cheat money from the grandparents.
In Singapore, scammers go an extra step to ask for ransom money in exchange for the “life” of kids.
A housewife (aged 51) received a
call on their home phone from a man who demanded $100,000 in exchange
for her youngest daughter’s life.
There were several similar cases and the fact was that the kids were not kidnapped, and the scammers were simply trying to scare the parents.
