]]>Hot Scam Specifications:

Scam Type: 419 Scam (Lottery Scam)
Fake Names: John Lugard, Thomas Jeff
Offer Type: Lottery Winnings
Transfer Amount: 867,454 GBP
Storyline: You won a lottery which you did not join
Scammer Location: “Appears” to be UK
Scammer Email: mail.pcmagic.net, Yahoo UK

This scam mail was dated early Aug 07, but we did not publish it earlier as we thought it was similar to another UK National Lottery mail published earlier. The recent lottery scam mail seems to come from UK, but could have been sent from another location. We could not verify this due to the missing IP address information in forwarded mails.

This is a scam and do not call or reply to the email, esp. with those personal information below. These guys do not have the lottery winnings and they are simply looking forward to earning “transfer fees” from you before disappearing. If you sent the personal information but decided not to proceed with the fees transfer, they can still use your “personal information” for other purposes including certain identity theft scams. Also note that scammers may also re-use your names and personal details in future scams against others.
