The new "spin" on this scam is the scammers claim to be from Microsoft...easiest way to steer clear of these scams is for everyone to WAKE-UP!

IF it seems too good to be true...it probably is a scam!!

And theyare still at it. I have received 2 in 2 days, one from unesco stating i won 650,000,00 gbpounds and one from yahoo/msn inconjunction with microsoft windows for 500,000 gbpounds. all asking for documents etc, both giving the same address in london. Are they just up for some sort of identity duplication? Mine had the spelling mistakes etc. But then it is coming up for christmas and some will fall for it in the hope of an amount of cash.

I have received many of these scam e-mails, at first they were from Nigeria, but now they are mainly from the UK, mainly from London but the last from Croxteth Drive Liverpool. This is an area that I know well. It consists of fairly wealthy homes and is not a commercial district. I was given the Ref: XYL /26651o460037/05 Batch: 24/00319/IPD
Winning number: YM/09788/60
There are indications that these mailings are not valid.
1. Why would they go to people in foreign countries?
2. The unusual way the winners were chosen?
3. They ask too many questions about you
4. The names they give are unusual or copied from minor celebrities
5. There are grammatical errors & spelling misstakes
