Watch out for this repeated scammer… he never seemed to learn!

“An anonymous tip led police Thursday morning to a convicted con man who may have scammed as many as 30 people out of high-end cars advertised on Craigslist and other Web sites.

Fadel Eric Assane, 24, was arrested about 10 a.m. during a raid in Fort Worth near Euless, Dallas police said. In addition to Mr. Assane, they found three stolen cars, including a BMW and a Nissan Altima.

On Sept. 24,
Dallas police arrested Mr. Assane on theft charges after he drove a
stolen Audi away from a meeting with his probation officer. And though
he admitted scamming cars from about 30 people, authorities soon
released him on $10,000 bail.
When arrested in September, Mr. Assane had been serving 10 years’ probation for car scams.

Police say he has responded to automobile ads placed on the Internet, posing as an SMU student with a wealthy father. They say he took the sellers to banks and convinced them that money transfers had taken place to get them to give up their cars and titles.”
