Any good or bad event can be used as the background story for a scam, even when it sounds so ridiculous. The best thing is that they have used email addresses from eBay, Yahoo and webmail.co.za, my goodness.

I sorta figured this was hokum. Mine just had the whole "your email was attatched to winning ticket" and then a link to get more information. I always check things out before I go wildly smacking links on emails that look hinkey - and on some that DONT look hinkey.

I've always had a nagging feeling that these things were fake, I just got a mail from these very world cup 2010 people saying Bill Gates had a lot of money to give out. And i began to wonder why me. This article is great.

I must be a magnet for these lately. I won the World Cup lottery in So. Africa 3 times in a row, all trough the same bank which is a real bank. I've also been invited to help people from Africa to transfer their funds through an american account for a percentage, which of course is laundering. They ploy on your sympathy, help me please. Thank you for clarifing that these lotteries are fake. I had a feeling when they were all the same and asking for fees to be paid upfront.

Yup, I pretty much figured it was fake. Just too suspicious. They didn't even bother to give me decorations. Just words and an invalid zip code and phone number. Two unmatching emails. Freakin geniuses(sarcasm of course). But it was scary to realize that these people are HUNTING us! Our identity, our lives, our information, etc. We have to realize that there are smarter people than this out there. We need to be careful.

I got mine a few days ago! You would think these morons would be smart enough to at least cut and paste a Coca-Cola logo onto the E-mail so it would look somewhat legit. I'll bet he didn't know I do IT security for a living. Hope you had fun with my Jpeg worm... Can you say goodbye icons?? HAHAHAHAHAHA

Thank you for saving me.. I was on my way to responding to FIFA 2010 scam. Due to the fact, that it is around the holiday season and 1 million dollars would have been great! Oh what wishful thinking. I knew it was too good to be true. Because, the email that I recieved from these scammers just felt freaky and the email content wasn't professional at all. There were so many different Batch numbers, Claim numbers etc. and when I did a spell check on the email. Oh my goodness! There were so many words that were spelled incorrectly. These scammers need to know how to read and write.......

I was scammed in 2006-Consequently I lost my home through ignorance. Since that time I have become well informed. Since that time I still get the winning lotteries. If the lotteries were real and the number of times and the amounts that I had supposedly won, I would be quite a wealthy woman.

I must be on a sucker list somewhere since I average 3 lottery winnings a day. This has been going on for at least a month.I usually respond to the senders but I don't think they like how I cuss them.I would like to get my hands on the as-holes since I know they get lucky every once and a while, rip some older people off who have big dreams and a small bankrole. This makes me sick.I would think the senders of these scams could be traced and prosecuted,We need to turn these thieves over to BUBBA in prison,WE ALL KNOW WHAT BUBBA LIKES :)

This is a JOKE!
No professional company would make (Spelling) errors let alone no hosting of a website and no reviews. Also surprise there is no LOGO to identify this company. Worse still they have a contact (YAHOO) Address? For US 2mill (+) in winnings then surely they can afford $19.95 US to pay for a website! |
