We think that your question is vague, are you referring to the domains or their marketing system?
It seemed that their affiliate system isn't quite complete, and a check on some affiliate sites show that this is some kinda pyramid or MLM system.
As we have written somewhere, if you want to join a MLM system we recommend joining a company with better reputation, and products that adds-value. In order for a MLM to be profitable, the price would normally be higher than "normal products". The mark-up price has to be "higher" so that the profit is adequate to split among the levels of affiliates, but in order to justify for a higher cost, there has got to be value-add in the product itself.
Let's say I have a HotScams Shampoo (brand is "HotScams").
So if I sell this in the stores. I would need to sell to compete with the rest of the shampoos on the same shelf - all selling around $2.00
My shampoo isn't much better than the other shampoos, so I have to get my price in the competitive range, which means a small margin of profit. So I am selling at $1.95, and my profit is only say $0.25 per bottle.
Next I decide to market my shampoo using the MLM or affiliate system. If I stick my price at $1.95, I have to share the profit of $0.25 with not just one, but several guys depending on how the system works. If the upline earns 7-levels down, I will need to split that $0.25 by 7.
So I mark-up the price to say, $3 per bottle. I will still earn less but more than $0.25 divided by 8 (including my company).
Now, turn the table around, and ask why must the consumer pay $3 per bottle just to buy my shampoo when they can get one at $2 from the shelf.
The only thing that I can sell them the same old words used in MLM like "Passive Income", "Change your life forever", "Earn while you sleep", etc. WAIT! There is Nothing wrong with these, because these are really some of the rewards of Good MLM systems, products and business. But NOT all MLM systems are selling the same products.
Not sure if you understand me, but in short you ask yourself what is the value of the product that you are selling.
Don't join an MLM because the MLM works. Every MLM will work provided that the product has unique value, with strong support and robust system provided by the company. There is no free lunch, and the question is the effort that you will need to put in.
btw, just some screenshots of what I mean when I say about product pricing and value of product. If you understand what I am writting, then you will understand my point. If the 2 companies below are selling the same product, why isn't the other doing the same? We are not talking about shampoos from different factories, but domain names.
See the arrows and red boxes carefully, because it is self-explanatory. These images are captured at the same time. You can try to register that domain name which I tested below (the cheaper one), XLJ.WS. And... SKG.WS is also available at that cheap price. Probably more. Register today!!! (Don't quote us)

Being employed with GDI (I had worked at the corporate office as a telephone representative) i was able to see behind the scenes of this "Company". The fact is, that they are a legitimate company, and they do offer a 'service'. Without their basic hosting services they would be considered a pyramid scheme. When we received calls complaining that we appeared to be a pyramid scheme, the reps would all respond the same.
"A pyramid scheme requires a user to contribute something without gaining anything immediately in return."
However, i believe that in order to offer a product....said product needs to be able to compete. This is the problem. GDI's website hosting and domain registration costs $10 per month which comes to $120 a year. This is ABSURD. Here's a little example to put it all in perspective.
GDI Offers:
- Domain name registration.
- 10 POP Email accounts (Each email gets 1GB of storage, why doesn't the web hosting offer this).
- 100 MB of disk storage for your website.
- Ability to participate in affiliate program.
- Customer support (M-F 8AM-5PM PST)
- Access to their SiteBuilder tool.
- Only support PHP 4.4.7 and HTML
All for $10 per month ($120 a year).
My current web hosting company (FastDomain.Com) offers:
- Unlimited Email Accounts and Storage
- Unlimited Disk Storage for your website.
- 24 hour customer support.
- Access to an array of different sitebuilder applications.
- PHP, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CGI BIN, Unlimited MySQL databases.
All for $12 a month ($144 a year), you can even take off features to shave off a dollar or two but really the $2 is worth it.
Also, almost EVERY web hosting service has an affiliate program. FastDomain's affiliate system rewards the customer $75 for every new user they refer as apposed to $1 for each customer (GDI). Also, with FastDomain's affiliate program you must accrue $150 before your paid (2 referrals and that would pay off a YEAR of hosting). With GDI's system, you must earn at least $10 before your paid (that means 10 ACTIVE referrals)....
Anyone who thinks GDI is a good idea is sorely mistaken. This company cannot compete. MANY employees i had known had suggested we step up and offer more features, but the owners and operators simply refuse to. (My guess is that this would take a lot of money out of their pockets).
Here's another fun fact. Neither Alan Ezeir or Michael Reed own the Ferraris shown in the videos everyone has seen. They were rented in San Diego.
Ash (one of the top earners) makes false offers which bring in lots of inexperienced people. He's offered 50,000 leads to new users and when he doesn't follow through, these people usually call and cancel their service realizing they had been duped.
Also most of the top earners have violated MULTIPLE terms of service agreements that would get normal joe customers terminated (WITHOUT refunds). GDI's "Abuse" department usually talks with these "V.I.P.'s personally over the phone (some are on a first name basis) but if other low level users ask the same questions they are told GDI can't assist them.
Steer clear of this company, utter crap. I may have missed a few things but i hope i made my point and experiences clear.
wanted to make sure it was legit.
I think I would like to be on your team.
