Changes in 419 and Lottery Scam Section
- 5-12-2009
- Categorized in: Blogs
From today onwards, we will quick-post the reports submitted to us. This will help to save time and include as many as possible in our website.
Basically, all 419 scams are all the same. The scammers would come up with a story to explain that there is a large sum of money that they need to pass to you. The reasons for doing can be due to:
1) Rich man died. No family members to take over the wealth.
2) Someone found treasure/money somewhere and need your help.
3) You have won a lottery.
etc...
In fact all scams are the same... based on this simple golden rule:
1) The deal is too good to be true (like winning a lottery)
2) You are required to part with some money, sign a contract, etc,
Based on the above criteria, it is most likely to be a scam.

Global International Lottery and Sweepstakes is a SCAM.
I have been contacted multiple times for instructions in How to claim a price of 1.5 Million dollars, that I supposedly won in a Sweepstakes contest.
The first time they required for me to wire $ 179 dollars to a person by the name of Jahmar Chambers, with the address 10 West Avenue, Kingston, Jamaica. After this money was wired to that person, I was required to wire another $ 200 dollars. After this was done, I needed to wire another $ 450 dollars with the promise that I would be receiving a package with the Check. The last requirement was for me to wire another $ 275 dollars for the approval of the check by the Attorneys.
I have received calls from the delivery man, who resides in Palmetto, Florida, by the name of David Scott, prommising to deliver the Check to my home. Then I was called by Mr. John Tyrell from Global International, who is the one that initially contacted me, telling me that Mr. Scott is having mechanical problems with his car and for this reason he was unable to make the delivery. The check was never delivered and I am out of $ 1,104 dollars.
Please publish this e-mail, warning people of the Scam.
