Beware of this typical phishing scam mail.
The mail attached below is the exact one received, including the links to the phishing site. As you can see, it is not the actual address of Abbey. The scammer is using a Korean domain name in the link “Please Click Here”

So do you believe in someone from this email address: barbicanconsultants@live.co.uk
who claims to be from the BANK?
Is this your Common Sense?
If you want to ask, of all people, why ask someone using a free email address, rather than calling up the bank directly.
As you can see, 99% of the people do not get scammed because they didn’t even bother to answer these crappy emails. Its the 1% of you who are scammed everytime because you choose to respond and getting convinced that its “Real”.
Dear
I sent to this site that people see and if rec such mail do not reply them because the tell number mentioned above are not right
iS SCAMMER OR NOT YOU ANSWER ME ?
Attn: Mr. Ali Gerailly,
I acknowledge receipt of your mail.
I have been making efforts from my side to look for solution to resolve this problem. Unfortunately, you are not helping matters at all. I was at the bank today and they showed me some irresponsible mails you sent to them. I am very disappointed with you for such attitude and character exhibited by you. How can you call a bank FAKE? A bank that is holding your money!
I have applied for a waiver to the British Financial Services Authority on your behalf to see how they could help us. Before granting the waiver application, they would need to get a recommendation from Abbey Bank. Now, you are abusing the bank and am worried if they would ever accept to give you further good services!
Now if you really want to resolve this problem, you must write the bank and apologise to them on this behaviour.
I will let you know the outcome of my waiver application to BFSA tomorrow.
We must put heads together to resolve this issue once and for all.
We remain,
Yours in service,
Bradly Walcott Esq.
