Is this a scam: Bahamas Agent Job Offer
We received an email asking if a job offer by Bahamas Agent is a scam.
We have no information about this agent so far. However, we noted that the career page on the website does not have a job offer for agents working from home.
Another thing to check is the email address of the sender, make sure that it is from the same company by sending an email directly to them and asking for their direct reply. This helps to check to make sure that you are talking to who they claim they are. After that, we will need to find out more about the job offer.
If anyone has any information, leads, evidence or comments, please feel free to submit to through our comment section listed below.
16 Dec 08 Update:
We have updated this article and apparently the offer came from a scammer who uses a free email address.
The offer in this email is a scam, and is not from the real Bahamas Agent.

My name is Miss Marshall Babra , i have a family of 2 and i am a Eyak Technology .I travel alot, hence the reason why i need an assistant to handle affairs for me on the home front when i am away on business which is usually quite often. This position is home-based and flexible you can be in any location, working with me is basically about instructions and following them, my only fear is that I may come at you impromptu sometimes, I need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. There is also a very sensitive issue on trust and accountability which I believe will resolve itself as time goes on.
This is only an introductory e-mail, as time goes on we should be able to arrange a proper meeting to get things started officially. I do have a number of things you could help me with this week if you will be available for me. This can act as a stable foundation to our working relationship. I got this exact one, and i did send my info now im not sure what to do… im scared actually… what should i do?
I have received several similar responses from classifieds posted on Craigslist that are worded exactly the same though the main characters names are changed, i.e. Aaron Clark, Marshall Babra, etc. What is this scam? I have not been asked for money or SSN but their correspondence continues with nothing concrete. Obviously it’s not a legit job offer but what it is exactly? Thanks to anyone who has information on these nutjobs.
I just got this e-mail from: houskabicarpinelliqx@hotmail.com
They sent it to me through CareerBuilder.com
Looks like a pretty big scam to me…

Got the same thing last night. Searched for Bahamian Realtors LTD. Someone else looked at the email and as soon as I said Bahamas he told me I might want to check it out and pay attention and not give him any personal information. I searched for the company name on the net but didnt come up with anything so I got suspicious. I contacted Monster directly (as he says he got my CV from Monster) and they asked me to forward the emails onto them and they would investigate…. I’m gobsmacked that someone like this can get ANY information about me or anyone else if hes not actually looking to legitimately employ someone. A bit disgusting this hasnt already been resolved as it looks like its been going on for nearly a year!
I just searched his name on google out of curiosity… wow…. glad I did….
Here is what I got….

Oh thank God you guys were here. I just received an email from Anthony Lacey and found it weird as the job description was very vague. He also found my resume on monster.com. I sent him a very cautious reply asking for more information, but thanks to you guys it’s confirmed to be a scam. Can we report him somewhere? I think I’ll notify Monster and any online fraud dept I can find. Thanks again!
