Update 18 Feb 2010:
Based on our check today, this website has vanished. Please bewarned of similar scams.
Update 12 Feb 2010:
This case is reopened, please refer to the various comments on this report below.
We certainly hope that everybody could get back their refund as promised by the seller.
However, we find that this seller is unlike any other (site) that was created solely for the sake of scamming. Most of the time we would expect a scam site to disappear overnight after scamming a victim. There is no "customer service" from a scammer unless they still think you (victim) believe that the whole deal is genuine.
|
What is the best tactic to avoid a scam? Don't bite the bait, just walk away if you are unsure (75-25 or worse). If you decide to give it a try, you are risking that 75% chance or more of getting scammed. What is the the tactic after a scammer successfully scammed you? It's their turn to walk away from you, leaving you dry. |
A good example are the 419 and lottery scams. As long as you still believe that it is real, the scammer will continue to milk your bank account dry. This tactic was a fact reported by many of the news published by the press. Some victims lost their entire life savings after sending over the money repeatedly without realising its a scam. The point we are trying to make here is that, after a "scammer" has achieved their target, they would normally run away. However, this does not seem to be the case in this report.
On the other hand and in accordance with the original complaint report, the seller should have stated on their website that the products are imitations, and they should not use fake pictures to mislead consumers. Its called "misrepresentation" and the seller is liable if there is a buyer complaint.
----
Update 8 Feb 2010: This case has been resolved.
The consumer returned the products and payment was refunded, and as such, the original posts will be truncated.
Future buyers should ask carefully if the item was in fact an original item or an imitation. There are various grades of imitation products, and some of these may not be what you expected.

Original Report by a consumer:
| I have just been snookered by the internet site pandora-diy. The scam is to promise authentic Pandora beads and bracelets at the very low price of 8.99-9.99 per bead. They advertise that these beads are guaranteed authentic by their website and then when you order them, thinking you are getting a great deal, you have a package full of substandard fakes that aren't even sterling silver. To further their scam, because they know that when you open the package, you will contact them, is to offer you only a fraction of your purchase price as a refund, In turn, making a huge profit, because they have just dropped off their garbage in your yard. They will not give an address to which to return these items, insisting that you just keep the item, as if it is something of any value to anyone. Furthermore, once I began calling them out on their scam, they went in and changed the photos (and not quite all of them, I might add) to reflect the actual item that I received, that is in no way the item that was depicted in the photos when I ordered them. Consumers BEWARE!!!! Do not order from pandora-diy, ePandora, or other site claiming authentic Pandora that is at such a reduced price. They are scamming you. If you have placed an order with them, please cancel it and demand a full refund immediately. |

I have bought Pandora charms from this site for NZD200. its says free Deleivery in NZ plus with 3 days. Its been 2 week since and i have received NO delivery. i have emailed them so many times and till to date there has been no response. Their even have removed me from their user account. i have no idea how to get my money back. thank God i used my Visa debit card than my credit card. Please DO NOT USE THIS SITE. ITS A SCAM
All the sits above are from the same company. I have just realized that i have not received my order of over $500.00 all i can say is that im no happy chappy my gut was telling me not to buy from them, i guess ill stick to what i know its not much cheaper than at the jeweler but its authentic don't ever buy Pandora from any site that's more than 75% off.
I completely agree with the previous posts. I also purchased beads for 8.99 from pandoraonlinestore. The order came quickly. The beads were totally fake, even though they said they were authentic. A person named Lucy has been responding and has offered me a credit of $6 for my order of $60. Instead of providing me information on how to return my items, they are wanting to neogiaite my refund. The best thing to do is not ever buy from one of these online sites, unless you are ready to get a substandard bead and loose your money.
I found this website pandorajewelry-charms.com that's offering discounted 14 kt gold charms for $8 -_- yeah it seemed suspicious, and even though I haven't found any complaints about this site on the web, watch out for this one. Even the punctuation on the home page is a friggin' joke.

If this is a scam can i claim my money back somehow ? please help thank you.
Hi Kim
I have had exactly the same experience as you, I ordered a ring for my wife in November 2011,When I received it was not the ring that I orderd, after e mailing them they promised to exchange it but 6 months on and about 20 e mails to them later I still waiting.
There e-mails seem to be generic and replies are generated by your e-mails.
Always the same excuse, the package is with the post office or cusoms, even the British post office isn’t that bad

I also got burnt. I purchase pandora bracelent and charms from this website, http://www.pandoracheapbracelets.com, whom advertising that they are offering authentic pandora that is affordable.
After receiving the items, and going to the store, I was told that these are fake pandoras. I am trying to get a refund and it is difficult to contact them. I am being told that I have not paid my order yet, when the payment was posted in my credit card.
Bought this Dec 11, as of Jan 12, I still cannot get my refund nor did I get information from them what is their refund process. Don't purchase from this website!
Hi.. recently i bought pandora charms from same sort of website...and had same problem. So what i did was contacted my bank ASAP and filled the Dispute form n together fowarded all correspondance (emails) with the company. On the dispute form i stated i authorised my credit card but the dealer didnt meet the requirements. My money was Reversed within 2 working Days.
Maybe this can get your money back....
My parents bought me a bracelet from that site too, and spent over 100$ on it and recently realized it was fake! My mother is working on getting compensation for the money spent from the credit card company, it rang up as spyware in her checking account.
I've recently purchased my beads from this website bt have been following it up with emails and to which they reply but like evryone elses there website seems to vanish overnight. So has anyone ever made a claim with paypal and got successful as im thinking of lodging a complaint with them, any ideas will be gr8.
Thanx.
Heilala
Thank you for your outstanding tips!! Are you currently a member on twitter at all? Will give you a tweet through my account right now
I received the attached email from Microsoft. What's weird is that they are only asking for my name, address, age, nationality
How can I be scammed with this information. They didn't ask for any banking information or account numbers etc?

Hi, I recently bought over £100 worth of Pandora charms from what I thought was the official Pandora website. I have contacted the sellers to say that I am not happy with the products as I was expecting genuine charms and I got a load of cheap looking trinkets delivered from Hong Kong. I realise that I cannot do anything about it now but I wanted to inform you so that you can look into it. The email of the person I have been dealing with is pandoraonlinestore@yahoo.com. This woman is called Lucy.
The website is http://www.charmpandorajewellery.com/
If you take a look at it, it just looks like the official Pandora website. I know I've benn had, and it was very silly of me to think I could get the charms for so little but I really did think it was some kind of past seasons collection (I have recently bought a bracelet and a few charms from a shop and the new stuff wasn't on the site).
I don't know if you can do anything about this but I thought I'd contact you having read your website. Maybe if they can be stopped then other people would be spared being ripped off.
The only thing I can do is post this everywhere to warn others about this!
Thank you,
http://www.pandorauk-charms.com/customer/account/index/
This website for Pandora is a scam. I recently bought 4 charms £50 they specfically state authentic and they are FAR from it. After over 10 emails they are not responding ....PASS THE WORD
i have recently been sent a load of fakes from hong kong as well as someone said the website is very authentic and I havent a pandora myself but buy for friends and daughter. Has cost me £80 quid and I am furious as not for me but presents for my friends. An absolute disgrace.
Hi. Ive unfortunately just placed an order with the same internet site as yourself. They have emailed me telling me that the payment hasnt gone through but my bank told me that the payment has processed. Can you please tell me if you received your items or has the payment process been a scam?
Thanks.
Jan
