Hot Scam Specifications:
Scam Type: 419 Scam (Lottery Scam)
Fake Names: Dr. David Moore
Offer Type: Lottery Winnings
Winning Amount: $250,000 GBP
Storyline: You won a lottery which you did not join
Scammer Location: Claimed to be Ireland
Scammer Email: desmond_ani07@yahoo.co.uk, info@microsoft.com
Since when it became a "tradition" for Western Union to award "customers" with prize money?
And just look at the emails used in the scam, i.e. free yahoo mail and fake microsoft.com mail. Without checking with Western Union, we can tell that this is a scam email. What's more, most of you receiving these mails might not even be customers of Western Union.
You will be asked to pay some fees (again and again) but you will never see the prize money.

I'm currently living in the Middle East, where the scams are less widely known about and have had to dissuade a few colleagues and friends, who genuinely believe they're going to receive massive prizes, etc. from sending details to these pondlife cpn artists. |
