Scammer strikes again using popular commercial company's name. In this case, they are are BSing that recipients won £178,226 (wow wow).
And then you are required to provide your personal information to someone using a free Yahoo! email address, manager_mixer@yahoo.co.uk, to claim the prize. No, they don't ask about your bank account no. in the first email. But they will somehow rip something from the victim, either bank account, cash... if not, just a trojan attached to a word document in the 3rd or 4th email will do the trick for a victim who doesn't wish to give up their bank savings or hard-earned cash.
Attached is the email received from the scammer including the full details of the servers involved. Note that the mail server is from ".au", and the mail was sent using squirrelmail webmail.
Updated: btw, even as we know it, we would just like to confirm on this article that we have checked Coca Cola site and there are no such lottery. In any case if anyone likes to check, the recommendation is to email or call Coca Cola directly rather than responding to some guys using free yahoo email address.

That is a valid and good point in some cases. But having seen so many lottery and awards scams we are certain when we see one without even the need to check the original website. Nevertheless, we will try to include such details where time permit. Thanks for your feedback.

Rita ... generally, they get your email address in one of 3 ways. --- 1) using email providers like hotmail.com, yahoo.com, comcast.net, and thousands of others, they construct email addresses from common names. So, for example they create a list, starting with anna1@example.com, anna2@example.com, ... anna1001 ... and so on up to 10000 or more. Then they continue with other names like amy, bill, charles. Then this is all repeated for other email providers like yahoo, hotmail, aol, comcast and many others ... A simple computer program can create millions of email addresses very quickly. I once signed up for an email address something like m5000@example.com, and within minutes of signing up, I received dozens of spam emails, even though I DID NOT USE THE EMAIL ADDRESS YET. --- 2) they offer a free gift like a ringtone, a song, a screensaver, or an e-greeting-card and those who respond are added to a list that is sold many times to spammers. This can even happen if a friend innocently signs your email address up for a free item as a 'FAVOR' to you. --- 3) Theft of customer lists at Real Legitimate Companies. Your bank, shopping site, car-rental company, national sweepstakes company, hair salon, credit card company, auto manufacturer, national beverage company, tv station, newspaper, even schools and government agencies and thousands of others. An employee with proper access can copy customer information, and before or after getting fired, can sell that information to many times to spammers. --- These are in my opinion the 3 most common ways but I am sure there are very many other ways.
