I was just missing those old deleted mails on Nigerian scams. It has been ages since I received the last email from these guys.
Well,
I have a surprise today. Someone called Dr. Peter Ibe, The Manager
Bills and Exchange at the Foreign Remittance Department of the Zenith
International Bank Of Nigeria Plc (exact copy) emailed me using a
(giveaway) hotmail account. He mentioned about some US$38.5 million
(wow) funds abandoned by a foreign customer who died along with his
entire family of a wife and two children in November 1999 in a plane
crash.
As usual, there are no surviving relatives of the family who can inherit the wealth.
And
of all people in the world, they would like to transfer all that into
My Account!!! The share is 30% mine, 60% for the officials in the
department, and 10% any other foreign fees.
This is just a
scam and could be written by some small kid, or that old street cleaner
who just found an abandoned Pentium 133MHz PC. Just ignore and do not reply to the u/m email. Otherwise, proceed at your own risk.
btw, there may be a real Dr Peter Ibe around, and he may not be the one sending out this email. Unless you are a police or FBI, you don't have to find out whether or not the person's name is real. In any case, Scammers do not often use their real name, so any mentioning of company or names in such Emails may or may not exist, but is unlikely to be related to the Scammers.
If you receive similar emails, you can send to me for consolidation so as to keep the inbox clean.

Dear Friend,
STRICTLY AND PRIVATE BUSINESS PROPOSAL.
I am Dr. Peter Ibe, The Manager Bills and Exchange at the Foreign Remittance Department of the Zenith International Bank Of Nigeria Plc. I am writing this letter to ask for your support and cooperation to carry out this business opportunity in my departments.
We discovered an abandoned sum of US$38.5 Million (Thirthy Eight Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars only) in an Account that belongs to one of our foreign customer who died along with his entire family of a wife and two children in November 1999 in a plane crash. Since we heard of his death, we have been expecting his next-of-kin to come over and put claims for his money as the heir, because we cannot release the fund from his Account unless someone applies for claim as the next-of-kin to the deceased as indicated in our Banking guidelines.
Unfortunately, neither their family member nor distant relative has ever appeared to claim the said fund.
Upon this discovery, I and other officials in my department have agreed to make business with you and release the total amount into your Account as the heir of the fund, since no one came for it or discovered he maintained Account with our Bank, otherwise the fund will be returned to the Banks treasury as unclaimed fund. We have agreed that our ratio of sharing will be as stated thus: 30% for you as a foreign partner, 60% for us the officials in my department and 10% for the settlement of all local and foreign expenses incurred by us and you during the cours of this business. Upon the successful completion of this transfer, I and one of my colleagues will come to your Country and mind our share. It is from our 60% we intend to invest in
(estate) as a way of recycling the fund.
To commence this transaction, we require you to immediately indicate your interest by a return E-mail and enclose your private contact telephone number, fax number including you mobile number, full name and address and your designated Bank coordinates to enable us file letter of claim to the appropriate departments for necessary approvals before the transfer can made.
Note also, this transaction must be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL because of its nature. I look forward to receiving your prompt response.
Yours Faithfully,
Dr. Peter Ibe.
ZENITH INTERNATIONAL BANK OF NIGERIA Plc.
